Race Summary
ARTFUL LAUNCH, reserved inside early, was steadied first midway on the turn, remained inside and steadied again lacking room in the upper stretch, was forced to alter course seven wide about the sixteenth pole, then closed determinedly under left-handed whipping to prevail. QUEENOFMARDIGRAS tracked the pace three abreast, took over five wide in the upper stretch, then was outfinished in a long drive. PERFECT GAL, never far back and between rivals three or four wide, angled to the rail at the furlong grounds and offered a mild gain. I'M A CAT TOO forced the pace between foes, raced up close into the final furlong and weakened. SATIABLE, within easy striking distance and near the inside, eased out late but offered no rally. JET'S BRIDE gained the lead early, race two or three wide, made the pace into the upper stretch and weakened. CRICKET LANE, five or six wide, never menaced.
