Race Summary
ARTFUL LAUNCH, outrun for a half, came out nine wide for the drive, maneuvered in five wide to take a narrow advantage from DARING JULIE leaving the eighth pole and was fully extended the remainder. DARING JULIE, never far back and between foes three or four wide, gained a slim lead nearing the eighth pole, lost it to ARTFUL LAUNCH and battled gamely with that one the remainder only to be outfinished. VIBS, bumped at the start and outrun for a half, came out eight wide for the drive and was going well at the end. ROYAL CUP settled three wide, advanced near the rail into the stretch and was slowly gaining at the end. DEVIN BOUND, bumped at the start and forced out on VIBS, raced within striking distance four wide into the final furlong but couldn't produce the needed response. COME ON CATHY ANN moved in four wide to force the pace, raced up close to the stretch and gradually weakened. CHAFFED LIPS angled in early, stalked the pace five or six wide into the lane and came up empty. MOONLIT ROMANCE came out at the break bumping DEVIN BOUND, moved to the fore, raced in the two path, showed the way into the upper stretch and weakened. SUPERFLY GIRL, within striking distance and between rivals three wide into the stretch, flattened out in the drive. JOYJOYJOY raced three wide for a half, swung well off the inside entering the stretch and never menaced. JUST GRIN'N, in front briefly after the start, raced forwardly for a half and weakened. SHEZYOU BREWING broke on top and faded on the turn.
