Race Summary

BIG CASE forced the pace four wide, challenged on the turn, drew clear into the stretch and stayed clear while kept to the task. ASHTONOFUN far back early, made a bold run 6 wide after three furlongs, bore out 12 wide late on the turn after changing leads prematurely then closed fasts in the middle of the strip. CAYENNE GREY outsprinted early, moved out to the six path on the turn, was bumped nearing the sixteenth marker then had no late bid. PORTMEIRION close up along the inside, steadied near the five furlong marker, waited on the turn, angled out for the drive, drifted out and bumped CAYENNE GREY near the sixteenth marker then had no late bid. ROSE BLANKET forced the pace three wide and weakened. HAIR TRIGGER outsprinted early, lacked a late bid. PROSPECT POINT vied for the lead between rivals and weakened. LEMON SKY alternated for the lead from the start, saved ground on the turn and tired. DEPUTY GRANT forwardly placed five wide, faded. METER was through early.
