Race Summary
MUSKETIER (GER) broke a step slow, was rank to place behind rivals, moved up in hand on the backstretch, closed swiftly through the final turn, kicked clear entering the stretch and held safely through the drive. BRASS HAT was unhurried into stride and settled saving ground, wheeled to the outside entering the stretch, finished full of run but was unable to reach the winner. BLUSHING BEAR was allowed to settle, launched his bid five wide, ranged into striking distance entering the stretch, loomed a danger with a furlong to run but lacked the needed late response. EXPANSION was forwardly placed along the inside, was blocked entering the stretch, steadied with a furlong to run, altered course off of the rail and came again once clear. DEMARCATION settled in the second flight, came four wide to make a mild bid between horses but weakened during the drive. TRANSDUCTION GOLD was unhurried into stride, came six wide to make a mild rally but failed to seriously threaten. BEARPATH attended the pace in hand toward the inside, was shuffled back between rivals on the final turn, steadied from tight quarters near the three-sixteenths pole and went evenly thereafter. PICK SIX made a middle move five wide, drew even after the opening mile, but came up empty entering the stretch and faded. SUDDEN WAR (ARG) pressed the pace two wide, but faltered between horses entering the stretch and faded. ASCERTAIN (IRE) contended between horses to the stretch and retreated. TIMELESS FASHION set the pressured pace along the inside, disputed the issue to the final furlong and dropped out. TIGER'S ROCK was through early.
