Race Summary
CHIEF EXPORT, away in front to vie for the lead three abreast, took over on the turn, was engaged by the CIELO SONG in the upper stretch and held that one safe under strong handling. CIELO SONG stalked the dueling leaders four or five wide, engaged the winner earnestly at the furlong grounds and wasn't good enough. MAMA'S LIL' MON was hustled along the inside to duel for the lead early, eased back on the turn, angled five wide for the last eighth but couldn't sustain the needed momentum. KING OF SPEED, three wide, made a mild run into the final furlong and couldn't sustain the needed momentum. PODGY, outrun to the stretch, managed a mild late gain. SWISS RESERVE followed the leaders in a striking position four or five wide into the lane and weakened. DELTA CHARLIE, outsprinted early and five wide, fanned seven wide to make a run into the final furlong and flattened out. APPOINT VICTORY was done on the turn. CAPTAIN MALORY was sent up to contest the pace between foes early, battled forwardly to the final quarter and faltered.
