| Race Summary |
|---|
TOLHWIN TYPE (ARG) came out at the start bumping MOUNTAIN JETT, bobbled while
gaining a slim lead, dueled with MOUNTAIN JETT while inside that one to the
stretch, shook him off, then was under steady urging to drive clear. CHIEF
EXPORT stalked the dueling leaders four or five wide, loomed prominently for the
final furlong but couldn't sustain the needed momentum while saving the place.
EXTORTION settled early, raced near the inside, continued from the rail into the
lane and lacked a late response. SOLO CAT, within striking distance always,
ranged up five wide for the drive and failed to offer the needed late account.
GRETCHEN'S STAR, within easy striking distance always, failed to fire. RAEDONALD
raced forwardly in behind the leaders into the upper stretch, eased out a bit
but flattened out. MOUNTAIN JETT, bumped at the start by the winner, dueled for
the lead outside that one to the stretch and faltered. ALL RACES AT KENTUCKY
DOWNS ARE HAND TIMED.
