| Race Summary |
|---|
KINGS CHALLENGE settled within easy striking distance near the inside, moved
four or five wide at the quarter-mile ground, caught front-running CHIEF EXPORT
a furlong out and was hard ridden the remainder. CHIEF EXPORT stumbled at the
start, quickly recovered, gained the lead, raced three wide, managed a narrow
advantage into the final furlong and wasn't a match for the winner thereafter.
GO NOW, within striking distance and four or five wide, loomed prominently for
the drive but couldn't produce the needed response. MYSTERIOUS LEGEND, four or
five wide, raced forwardly into the last eighth and came up empty. BROKE SHARPLY
raced forwardly inside to the lane and weakened. SKAGWAY was outrun after
bobbling at the break.
