GENTLE EDWIN steadied when carried in by READYROLL entering the first turn,
angled out to track the pace four wide, challenged on the second turn, drew off
into the stretch and was not menaced while under steady urging. OH MY GOLD
within striking distance five wide, finished willingly to be second best.
SUDDENLY PERFECT steadied entering the first turn when in tight, was reserved
for a half, moved out four wide midway through the second turn but could only
improve his position. KING KOMPRESSER in close entering the first turn,
recovered, forced the pace three wide and tired. RANSOM ROBERTO broke in the
air, recovered to race within striking distance, steadied late on the second
turn behind rivals and again in midstretch, swung out for a clear path but had
no late bid. BACK ALLEY TALES prompted the pace off the inside and tired.
READYROLL angled in entering the first turn tightening up inner rivals, vied for
the lead inside and faded in the drive. AWAY I GO was outrun. A FOUL CLAIM BY
THE RIDER OF SUDDENLY PERFECT AGAINST THE RIDER OF THE WINNER FOR INTERFERENCE
ENTERING THE FIRST TURN WAS NOT ALLOWED.
