ESPRIT DU ROI (CHI) vied for the lead between rivals, took over before a half and increased his lead in the drive under steady urging. KING OF SPEED prompted the pace three wide, couldn't stay with the winner in the drive but held on well to be second best. STORM SURGE contested the pace along the inside and tired in the final quarter. PAGING forwardly placed along the inside, tired. FLYING JAZZ prominent off the inside, gave way. PATROL pressed the pace four wide and faded.
