KING OF SPEED vied for the lead along the inside, responded willingly to urging in the stretch and proved narrowly best. ENDER'S SHADOW alternated for the lead off the inside and held on gamely but was outfinished. MC MAHON pressed the pace three wide and weakened in the drive. PAGING within striking distance four wide, steadied entering the second turn when EMBOSSED(IRE) drifted in a bit, saved ground into the stretch and lodged a mild late bid. EMBOSSED (IRE) five wide on the first turn, drifted in a bit entering the second turn then made a mild late gain. FLYING JAZZ was no threat. PUNCH hesitated at the start and was outrun.
