| Race Summary |

GRAND (IRE), rated along the inside from early on, saved ground into the upper
stretch, eased out four or five wide for the drive and was hard ridden to edge
clear late. KELVINGTON, well placed between foes from the outset, reached the
front four wide at the furlong grounds but couldn't handle the winner in the
late going. KING OF SPEED attended the pace from the beginning while outside of
BLACK JACK ATTACK, gained a slim lead, held on well into the last eighth and
grudgingly weakened. THIRD HALF, five wide from the backstretch on, moved wider
into the stretch and managed a mild gain. PAIR OF KINGS, unhurried and four or
five wide throughout, lacked a closing kick. BLACK JACK ATTACK vied for the lead
inside, held on well until the final furlong and couldn't continue. GRETCHEN'S
STAR raced in a striking position along the inside into the final furlong and
flattened out. EASY MONEY tired on the far turn. GOLDEN TRIP (CHI) wasn't a
factor.
