Race Summary

PORT HUENEME forwardly placed four wide, challenged with a quarter mile to go and drew off under steady urging. HIT THE HARDWOOD outrun for a half, advanced five wide into the stretch and closed well. PAPA M AND M reserved for a half, made a run five wide after five furlongs and finished willingly. COMMON GROUND outrun early, advanced four wide into the stretch but lacked a late bid. ALOMA'S COBRA forced the pace off the inside, managed a short lead into the stretch, held on well to midstretch and tired. ONE SPECIAL BOB was no threat. FOSTER HILL within striking distance along the inside, tired. DEAREST JACK four wide on the first turn, could not menace. QUICK APALACHEE well placed early, gave way. COBRA POWER prominent three wide, stopped. SPORTIN PHIL set the pace for a half, held on well to the quarter mile marker and stopped.
