Race Summary

DANDY GENTLEMAN reserved along the inside, worked his way forwardly along the inside on the second turn, angled out for the drive, caught the leader with a furlong to go and drew clear. PORT HUENEME three wide on the first turn, alternated for the lead to the quarter pole, drew clear into the stretch and held on gamely to be second best. ESTEDAD reserved off the inside, moved out and made a run four wide on the second turn but tired in the drive. ANNIE'S BOOT pressed the early pace four wide, moved in a bit before a half, raced in the three path on the second turn and gave way in the drive. SIR GAWAIN was no threat. SONNY'S LEGACY behind the leaders, faded in the drive. COMMANDER MAXIMUS vied for the lead along the inside and stopped.
