TEMPLAR'S CUP, lightly bumped at the break by DANCE GLORY, was reserved inside, rallied from the rail, gained command about the sixteenth pole and drew off under mild urging as much the best. DANCE GLORY came out bumping the winner at the break, was never far back, stalked the dueling leaders four wide, loomed menacingly on even terms in the final furlong but wasn't a match at the end. BUBBA SWAYBACK gained a slight lead two wide early while dueling inside of PRINCE'S PLEASURE, shook off that one, opened a clear advantage in the upper stretch and weakened when the real test came. ANDROMEDA GARDENS, unhurried early and three or four wide most of the way, lacked a late response. PRINCE'S PLEASURE battled for the lead outside of BUBBA SWAYBACK to the stretch and tired. BOBBY JACK, four or five wide, tired on the turn. MASKED BOLO followed the pace five or six wide in a striking position five five furlongs and weakened thereafter. FABULOUS TRI dueled for the lead early while five wide, weakened nearing the end of the backstretch, bore out on the turn and was distanced when not persevered with at the end. |
